National Mentoring Award goes to Faculty Member
Dr. Jacqui Specht wins National Mentoring Award at 2010 CSSE.
Education's Dr. Jacqui Specht accepted the 2010 Canadian Committee for Graduate Students in Education (CCGSE) Mentorship award on Sunday May 30, at the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
Presented annually, this prestigious national award recognises exceptional mentorship at the level of graduate instruction. Acknowledging the essential role of mentorship in Canadian educational research, the award pays specific tribute to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding support and encouragement for graduate students in Education.
Faced with a slate of exceptionally strong nominations, this year?s Award Committee was particularly impressed by the diversity of Dr. Specht's mentoring skills and her exceptional commitment to her students, both inside and outside the classroom. Congratulations, Dr. Specht.
