Applied Psychology

Jo Ann is currently a third year doctoral student in Applied Psychology with the Faculty of Education at the University of Western Ontario. She holds a Master of Educational Administration, Bachelor of Education, Honours Specialization in Developmental Psychology, and Early Childhood Education Diploma. Jo Ann has been nominated for and received university-level grants and scholarships throughout her education.

Jo Ann remains current in her area of concentration; educational psychology. Her research has been published in numerous conference proceedings, research briefs, and is currently working to publish in various peer reviewed journals and a practitioner’s text. For her doctoral thesis, she will be working with a panel of experts from interRAI Canada to construct a single comprehensive assessment of early childhood mental illness and developmental disorders for children less than four years of age.

Jo Ann participates as a peer-reviewer for the Journal of Early Intervention, and the Journal of Teaching and Learning. She is also a student affiliate with the Canadian Psychological Association, and a member of the Ontario College of Teachers, and the College of Early Childhood Educators. Jo Ann has a total of four years experience as a professor of Early Childhood Education with St. Clair College and Fanshawe College, with excellent evaluations of teaching.
