The Education Library and its staff wish to extend a very warm welcome to all new and returning students, faculty and staff.
To get your year off on the right foot, we encourage you to acquaint yourself with the Education Library, its breadth of digital and physical resources, and its friendly staff -- all here to help you succeed! This (not so) hidden gem, shaped like a space ship and situated on the northeast corner of the Faculty, offers three floors of individual and group study space, computing, printing and photocopying facilities, as well as a variety of rich information resources and services, all provided to support the coursework, educational research, and teaching practice of members of the Education community at Western.
The Education Library’s collection includes a wide variety of teaching and learning resources, both on site and online. Our library staff and academic librarians specialize in the field of Education, and are available to work with students and faculty to create, disseminate and apply knowledge in support of their teaching practice and academic goals.
Beyond what's accessible locally, members of the Western community may also take advantage of a variety of information resources and services provided not only by Western Libraries, but through the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL), such as: intercampus delivery of books from other Western library locations, Digital Delivery of print journal articles, Interlibrary Loan of materials from other Ontario universities, and Ask A Librarian chat reference service, to highlight only a few.
We wish everyone a successful start to the fall term, and rich and rewarding academic experience ahead. Visit us online (http://www.lib.uwo.ca/education) or in person to learn more about the information resources and services we provide to the Faculty.
