The Faculty of Education provides research funding assistance for graduate students enrolled in the Faculty.

Canadian Research Centre on Inclusive Education Research Awards

Awarded to part-time or full-time graduate students enrolled in the Faculty of Education who will be completing a thesis on a topic related to the inclusive education of students who represent a diversity of backgrounds or learning needs. Recipients will be selected based on their research potential and must submit an application to the Canadian Research Centre on Inclusive Education in the Faculty of Education by January 15, 2020. The application will consist of a cover sheet with demographic and program information, two letters of reference, a current CV, and a two-page proposal outlining the research to be undertaken. A committee in the Faculty of Education, chaired by the Director of the Canadian Research Centre on Inclusive Education, with at least one representative holding membership in the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, will select the recipient. These awards were established by gifts from alumni through Foundation Western. Value: Up to 3 awards of $750 each will be available annually.

Conference Travel

These awards are to support graduate students in their research by providing the opportunity to attend international and Canadian conferences to present their research work and to benefit from interactions with other researchers.
