Back to the MathFest Performances
In search of math
A man left home,
In search of math,
He did march on,
And forged his path,
Two years later,
To his surprise,
What he found,
Shocked his own eyes,
He found fractions, fractions, fractions, and division!
He learned that it was simple,
Easier than pie,
Just split it up evenly,
There’s no need to defy,
He went home,
To put his skills to the test,
When he used his new found skills,
He knew he was the best,
He had dinner when he arrived,
Eating a tasty pizza pie,
The pizza had 8 slices,
But 4 people were there,
Thankfully he knew just what to do,
As he pulled out a knife and 4 plates too,
I’ll cut up the pizzapie for you,
So all of us each get two,
Two years later,
To his surprise,
What he found,
Shocked his own eyes,
He found fractions, fractions, fractions, and division!
He learned that it was simple,
Easier than pie,
Just split it up evenly,
There’s no need to defy
