Matheatre: Calculus: The Musical! (Matheatre website)

Sadie Bowman, an actor, writer and musician, and her partner Marc Gutman, a math teacher and entertainer, created Calculus! The Musical in 2006 and they have taken the show on tour through North America. They had seven performances in 2006 (two at Fringe festivals) and have three booked for 2007 (one in Barrie, Ontario, at the Ontario Association of Mathematics Educators conference on May 4th). Calculus! The Musical is “a comic review of the concepts and history of calculus” (Matheatre website). Their songs, musical parodies about calculus, are all downloadable from their website.  I particularly liked “Without Rieman”. They are selling the CD, their performance, and will soon be selling Calculus! apparel. They have an online journal of their adventures at http://matheatre.livejournal.com/ and various video clips on YouTube.com.
