Graduate Students Living with Disabilities Scholarship Program

The Graduate Students Living with Disabilities Scholarship Program is awarded annually to three PhD graduate students and two MA graduate students who are beginning their studies in the Faculty of Education’s MA and PhD programs.

This program strives to seed the roots for positive change and reinforces the Faculty of Education’s strategic plan to create systemic, social, and ideological changes across the faculty. It also supports students living with disabilities who have historically faced social and economic barriers that disproportionately hinder access to – and completion of – their graduate studies.

Scholarship Values

MA - $10,000 per year for two years + any Faculty-sourced MA funding

PhD - $16,000 per year for five years + Western’s guaranteed PhD funding

Eligibility

Awarded annually to three students who are beginning their PhD studies and two students who are beginning their studies in the MA program at the Faculty of Education. Selection will be based on the completed scholarship application form.
