Accessing Course Materials

Tracking down readings and research articles is a common to-do item for any new student. This section is intended to save you time by outlining typical sources for readings and research articles at Western Education.

  1. Book distributors → Indigo, Amazon, local retailers can often order print books
  2. Book publishers → Sage, Routledge, etc. sell print and electronic versions, and often time there are gratis chapters available
  3. Western Libraries Catalogue → for books that are electronic, some restrictions apply
  4. Western Libraries Databases → for journals and other publications
  5. OWL Course Site → electronic journal articles, book chapters, and other scans
  6. VitalSource → this is an organization that “rents” books electronically
  7. Google and Google Scholar Searches → use the advanced functions
