Nominating a Teacher
Write us a letter explaining why your special teacher deserves to be on the
Teachers’ Wall of Fame. Your letter should:
- focus on one teacher you had while attending a London or region school (in any grade from K-13), a teacher who is now at the end of a rewarding career or retired.
Posthumous nominations also will be considered. - be no more than 750 words, double-spaced and typed, if possible
- include contact information for the teacher you are writing about if you have it
- be submitted no later than May 31, by mail to:

Selection Criteria
The selection committee will be looking for
nomination letters which:
- explain clearly why the teacher is/was special and how that teacher influenced your life
- capture the teaching practices, personal characteristics and/or professional qualities that make your teacher a worthy candidate for the Wall of Fame
Teachers being nominated must be at the end of their careers or retired. Posthumous nominations will be considered. The teacher must have taught for some or all of her/his career in the City of London or area (defined as that territory now within the boundaries of the Thames Valley School District and the London District Catholic School Board). Nominations which are unsuccessful in one year will be kept on file for consideration the following year.
Induction Process
The teachers selected for induction will be honoured on World Teachers’ Day, with a ceremony and reception at the Faculty of Education. Nominators will be invited to attend.
