Research Day

Research Day 2010

Research Day will be held on Wednesday, March 24th, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Great Hall, Somerville House.  This year, it will be a joint effort between the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the Faculty of Information and Media Studies and the Faculty of Education.

Research Day is generously supported by Research Western.

Deadline Reminders

  • Tuesday, February 16, 2010 is the deadline for notifying the Research Committee that you will be presenting a poster or other work at Research Day. Please use the intent to present form and submit to edu-researchday@uwo.ca.
     
  • Monday, March 1, 2010 is the deadline for researchers who have decided to present an ABSTRACT POSTER (18" X 24") from a recently published work or a FULL POSTER, 32" X 48" . Posters are to be emailed to edu-researchday@uwo.ca. Templates for this purpose are now available. We will pay for printing your 18"X24" poster and will bear the cost of printing of a limited number of 32"X48" posters.

    Decisions about whether or not the Faculty budget will cover the cost of printing your large poster will be made by February 19. If the Faculty is covering the cost of your poster and the poster PowerPoint is submitted by March 1 to edu-researchday@uwo.ca, we will make the arrangements to have it printed at Mercury Blueprinting.  If you are paying for your own poster or miss the March 1 deadline, some of the available options are here.

  • Monday, March 1, 2010 is the deadline for PowerPoint slides.

  • Monday, March 1, 2010 is the deadline for Book Covers for the Book Display Poster

  • Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Exhibitors are asked to attend research day  at the Great Hall. Please arrive by 2:45 p.m. to locate your poster / presentation.

Several formats are provided to faculty, staff and students to facilitate participation. A general description of each format is posted on this page. Regardless of which format you choose, you are asked to please submit the ‘Intent to Present’ form by Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Please use this form.
