Bachelor of Education

The University of Western Ontario’s Bachelor of Education is a full-time, in-class program that runs from September until mid-May. The program features core courses in social foundation of education, educational psychology and special education, and curriculum and pedagogy.

The program is designed to provide the knowledge, skills, experience, resources and support needed to prepare students to become professional teachers from the day they graduate.

There are four program options to consider:

The program features elective choices, professional development and career search support, and a practicum consisting of 13 weeks of student teaching divided into two blocks and a two-week "Transition to Professional Practice" in the first two weeks of May.
