The Graduate Research in Education Symposium is an annual event that is organized by graduate students at the Faculty of Education.
This Symposium is a great opportunity for graduate students at Western to share their research on education. Participation is open to any Western graduate student, as long as their research relates to education.
Presentation formats include posters, round tables, papers, and creative formats such as song or art. This year we are excited to offer the option of doing a virtual presentation, for those students who are unable to attend the symposium in person.
The goal of the Symposium is to showcase and support projects, conceptual research and studies in progress at all levels from beginning Masters’ students through to final Doctoral presentations. Additionally, studies which are well underway or those which have been completed since last year’s Symposium in Education are also welcome. Students planning poster presentations for the Great Hall or SOGS research days at Western may also present the same material at our Symposium. As well, students who are presenting at AERA in San Francisco, CSSE in Victoria, or at other conferences may practice the presentations to an interested audience and receive timely feedback.
A special thank you to our supporters: Western University Faculty of Education - Research and Graduate offices, MISA London, and the Society of Graduate Students.
