Raising children in a violent society

The Faculty of Education Research Seminar Series continues this Friday afternoon (Feb. 20) with a discussion on children growing in a violent society.

Professor Peter Jaffe, Academic Director of the Centre for Research on Violence Against Women & Children, will talk about the implications for parents and educators surround the idea children being so prone to violence in their lives.

The free lecture is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. in the Community Room (Room 1139) at the Faculty of Education.

Jaffe is also Director Emeritus for the Centre for Children and Families in the Justice System, which is a children's mental health centre specializing in issues, which bring children and families into the justice system in London, Ontario.
