Insructional and Open Computer Labs

You must have a valid and active UWO computing account in order to use any of the resources in the faculty's various labs.

Hours and availability

Monday - Friday 8am -- 5:00pm
Evening hours will be extended to 9:30pm as staff are hired in September

• Room 1130 -- Student Work Room

  • 25 networked thinserv client systems running Windows XP Pro with 17" monitors
  • Access to word processing, presentation and a variety of Ontario Educational Software - OESS
  • Internet and email access for Education Students
  • Networked laser printer in lab⁽¹⁾
  • Lab may be reserved for class presentations only with authorization of the manager, Media & Information Services

• Room 1156 -- Secondary Instructional Lab and Work Room

  • 30 networked computers, running Windows 7 with 19" monitors
  • Access to word processing, presentation and a variety of Ontario Educational Software - OESS
  • Computers in the labs may be used by students when not scheduled for instruction
  • Networked laser printer in lab⁽¹⁾
  • Lab may be reserved for class presentations⁽²⁾

• Room 1158 -- Main Instruction Lab

  • 50 networked computers, running Windows 7 with 19" monitors
  • Access to word processing, presentation and a variety of Ontario Educational Software - OESS
  • Computers in the labs may be used by students when not scheduled for instruction
  • Networked laser printer in lab⁽¹⁾
  • Lab may be reserved for class presentations⁽²⁾

• Room 2011 -- Graduate Lab (Under Construction)

  
  • 18 networked computers, running Windows 7 with 19" monitors
  • Access to word processing, presentation and a variety of Ontario Educational Software - OESS
  • Computer lab is reserved for unique needs of Graduate classes
  • Networked laser printer in lab⁽¹⁾
