Please keep in mind the following restrictions before submitting
materials for publication.
Manuscripts are considered on condition that:
- the work
is original;
- you own the
copyright;
- you have
secured the permission of all named co-authors, and have agreed
the order of names for publication;
- you have
secured all permissions for the reproduction of original or derived
material from a copyright source;
- the paper
has not been previously published;
- the paper
is not under consideration elsewhere;
- the paper
does not exceed 8000 words in length;
- and you will
transfer copyright to Taylor & Francis if the paper is accepted
for publication.
Submissions to JCS should include the following:
- six copies,
including the original or top copy, should be sent to the Editor:
Canada/JCS;
- all six copies
should be 'blind' -- all references to the author(s) should be
removed;
- all typing
(including references) should be double-spaced and on one side
only;
- pages, including
the reference section, should be numbered consecutively;
- a biographical
note of about 50 words, telephone, fax, and e-mail numbers should
be listed on a 'cover' page;
- an abstract
of about 150 words should be included;
- tables should
appear on separate sheets, numbered consecutively in the order
in which they are cited;
- illustrations
should be treated similarly, with copy suitable for reprography;
- photographs
must be good quality black-and-white prints;
- captions
for illustrations should be listed separately;
- gender-,
race-, and creed-inclusive language is mandatory.
In preparing your paper, you are encouraged to review papers in
the area you are addressing which have been previously published
in JCS, and where you feel appropriate, to reference them. This
will enhance context, coherence and continuity for our readers.
