A partnership to INSPiRE

The Interdisciplinary Network for Scholarship in Professions' Research in Education (INSPiRE) was launched in October 2008.  INSPiRE is an interdisciplinary initiative sponsored by the University of Western Ontario through the Provost's office, it represents a collaboration between the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.

The aim of INSPiRE is to foster an intellectual community and interdisciplinary network for the scholarship of professional education and practice by:

Creating opportunities to interact across disciplines;

Identifying scholars and graduate students in the field through the development of a virtual network and community of practice;

Building capacity for researchers and graduate students to advance knowledge and contribute to the scholarship of professional education and practice;

Fostering local, national and international collaborations and knowledge exchange in this area.

Community of Practice

We are in the process of developing a community of practice, details concerning how to become a member will be posted in the near future. In the mean time, all interested individuals are welcome to join INSPiRE seminars, lectures and events which will be regularly updated on the website.
