Intermediate Additional Basic Business-General  EDUC 5625
Course Description
Using an integrated approach to curriculum, this course will enable teachers to receive additional qualifications for the intermediate division in one subject area (general studies). Topics such as curriculum planning, teaching strategies and assessment of learning experiences for the intermediate division will be included in this course.

Admission Requirements

1. A Certificate of Qualification, Interim Certificate of Qualification, Certificate of Qualification (with conditions) or Letter of Eligibility; (A hard copy is required for the Letter of Eligibility only. Verification of the other documents will be done online via the Public register of the Ontario College of Teachers.)

B.Ed. students graduating in 2009 from an Ontario Faculty of Education may take courses prior to membership with OCT providing that they have met all the requirements to graduate and have registered with OCT. Students from Faculties other than Western must provide proof of successful completion of their B.Ed. program. Students from Faculties outside of Ontario MUST be a member of the Ontario College of Teachers prior to the course start date.

2. An acceptable university degree.

3. Two full-year university courses to support the subject for which qualification is sought. (An official transcript(s) is required. Fax a copy to us upon registration AND follow up with an official transcript sent directly from the issuing institution. Note that course weights vary across institutions. Courses weighted as 3 credits are likely to be half courses.)
