Advanced study of practical strategies for the teaching of mathematics in
the Primary and Junior grades. This course will consider perceptual,
conceptual, cognitive and affective factors as they relate to the learning of
mathematics, knowledge of the language of mathematics, assessment and
appropriate remedial strategies. |
1. A Certificate of Qualification indicating successful completion of Part
1;(It is not necessary to submit a hard copy as proof can be obtained from the
Public Register of the Ontario College of Teachers.) 2. Evidence of at
least one year (194 days) of successful teaching experience, as certified by
an appropriate supervisory officer (superintendent, not principal). Teaching experience MUST BE COMPLETED prior to the first day of
the course. |
