This course will focus on the leadership role in French instruction
including the refinement of skills, knowledge, and teaching strategies. The
leadership role in curriculum design, analysis of current programs (core,
extended, and immersion) will be considered, including teaching materials,
current literature, and principles of program and student evaluation. |
1. A Certificate of Qualification indicating successful completion of Part
2; (It is not necessary to submit a hard copy as proof can be obtained from
the Public Register of the Ontario College of Teachers.)
2. Evidence of at least two years (388 days)
of successful teaching experience, of which at least one year (194 days) is in
Ontario in the subject area, as certified by
an appropriate supervisory officer. NOTE: Where candidates are
teaching
the subject, identified below, in an integrated format, supervisory officers
may consider experience where a teacher can demonstrate that significant
program and instruction modifications were explicitly planned, implemented and
reviewed in the teacher's class: Computers in the Classroom, Dramatic Arts,
ESL, FSL, Guidance, Music, Reading, Special Education, Visual Arts (OCT
Memorandum; July 14, 2004).
Teaching experience MUST BE COMPLETED prior to the first
day of the course. This course is taught in French. |
