Primary Education Part 2  EDUC 5761
Course Description

Building on knowledge, skills, and teaching strategies provided in Part 1, this course will emphasize program planning and evaluation of kindergarten and primary programs. An advanced study of primary curriculum and a review of formal and informal assessment techniques will be included.

Admission Requirements

1. A Certificate of Qualification indicating successful completion of Part 1; (It is not necessary to submit a hard copy as proof can be obtained from the Public Register of the Ontario College of Teachers.)

2. Evidence of at least one year (194 days) of successful teaching experience, as certified by an appropriate supervisory officer (superintendent, not principal). Teaching experience MUST BE COMPLETED prior to the first day of the course.
