Course Description

This course will focus on the education of children from four to six years of age. Topics will include child growth and development, current practices and alternatives in childhood education along with curriculum planning and assessment.

Admission Requirements

A Certificate of Qualification, Interim Certificate of Qualification or Letter of Eligibility. (A hard copy is required for the Letter of Eligibility only. Verification of the other documents will be done online via the Public register of the Ontario College of Teachers.)

B.Ed. students graduating in 2009 from an Ontario Faculty of Education may take courses prior to membership with OCT providing that they have met all the requirements to graduate and have registered with OCT. Students from Faculties other than Western must provide proof of successful completion of their B.Ed. program. Students from Faculties outside of Ontario MUST be a member of the Ontario College of Teachers prior to the course start date.
