This course will enable teachers to receive additional basic qualifications for the primary division. A variety of instructional strategies and the organization of teaching learning experiences for the primary division will be included in this course.

A Certificate of Qualification, Interim Certificate of Qualification, Certificate of Qualification (with conditions) or Letter of Eligibility indicating:

1. Basic qualifications in areas of concentration other than the Primary Division;
2. An acceptable university degree.
(A hard copy is required for the Letter of Eligibility only. Verification of the other documents will be done online via the Public register of the Ontario College of Teachers.)

B.Ed. students graduating in 2009 from an Ontario Faculty of Education may take courses prior to membership with OCT providing that they have met all the requirements to graduate and have registered with OCT. Students from Faculties other than Western must provide proof of successful completion of their B.Ed. program. Students from Faculties outside of Ontario MUST be a member of the Ontario College of Teachers prior to the course start date.
