Course Description

The leadership role in primary education including the development of skills necessary to plan and present inservice programs will be the focus of this course. Primary curriculum development, implementation, evaluation and revision, based on the application of principles of child growth and development, will also be included.

Admission Requirements

1. A Certificate of Qualification indicating successful completion of Part 2; (It is not necessary to submit a hard copy as proof can be obtained from the Public Register of the Ontario College of Teachers.)

2. Evidence of at least two years (388 days) of successful teaching experience, of which at least one year (194 days or 110 teaching hours) is in Ontario in the subject area, as certified by an appropriate supervisory officer (superintendent, not principal). Teaching experience MUST BE COMPLETED prior to the first day of the course.
