This course assists teachers to develop a specialist knowledge of drama as
it relates to student development in all areas of the curriculum in the
primary, junior, intermediate and senior divisions. Competence in leadership
and consultative skills in dramatic arts will be emphasized. |
1. A Certificate of Qualification indicating successful completion of Part
2; (It is not necessary to submit a hard copy as proof can be obtained from
the Public Register of the Ontario College of Teachers.) 2. Evidence of
at least two years (388 days) of successful teaching experience, of which at
least one year (194 days) is in Ontario as certified by an appropriate
supervisory officer
(superintendent, not principal). NOTE: Where candidates are teaching
the subject identified below in an integrated format, supervisory officers
may consider experience where a teacher can demonstrate that significant
program and instructional modifications were explicitly planned, implemented
and
reviewed in the teacher’s class: Computers in the Classroom, Dramatic Arts,
ESL, FSL, Guidance, Music, Reading, Special Education, Visual Arts (OCT
Memorandum; July 14, 2004). Teaching experience MUST
BE COMPLETED prior to the first day of the course. |
