French as a Second Language Part 2  EDUC 5737
Course Description

This course will provide an advanced examination of all aspects of French language instruction and the various texts and materials to be utilized. Familiarity with various theories of teaching languages, the development of curriculum units and cultural awareness will be considered in the course.

Admission Requirements

1. A Certificate of Qualification indicating successful completion of Part 1 (or is deemed to have Part 1 based on holding Intermediate or Senior qualifications in the subject area); (It is not necessary to submit a hard copy as proof can be obtained from the Public Register of the Ontario College of Teachers.)

2. Evidence of at least one year (194 days) of successful teaching experience, as certified by an appropriate supervisory officer. Teaching experience MUST BE COMPLETED prior to the first day of the course.
