Course Description

Emphasis in this course will be placed on the leadership role in the school library with consideration of the following topics: evaluation of the school library and its programs, administration, advanced reference sources, research in school librarianship, and the history of children's and adolescent literature.

Admission Requirements

1. A Certificate of Qualification indicating successful completion of Part 2; (It is not necessary to submit a hard copy as proof can be obtained from the Public Register of the Ontario College of Teachers.)

2. Evidence of at least two years (388 days) of successful teaching experience, of which at least one year (194 days or 110 teaching hours) is in Ontario in the subject area, as certified by an appropriate supervisory officer (superintendent, not principal). Teaching experience MUST BE COMPLETED prior to the first day of the course.
