Course Description

This course will emphasize the leadership role, introducing topics such as the development of educational materials; sourcing literature and research to develop or improve curriculum at the school and board level for all students.

Admission Requirements

1. A Certificate of Qualification indicating successful completion of Part 2; (It is not necessary to submit a hard copy as proof can be obtained from the Public Register of the Ontario College of Teachers.)

2. At least two full year university courses in the area of business specialization for which the qualification is sought or appropriate other courses as approved by Continuing Teacher Education; (An official transcript(s) is required. Fax a copy to us upon registration AND follow up with an official transcript sent directly from the issuing institution. Note that course weights vary across institutions. Courses weighted as 3 credits are likely to be half courses.)

3. Evidence of at least two years (388 days) of successful teaching experience, of which at least one year (194 days) is in Ontario in the subject area, as certified by an appropriate supervisory officer (superintendent, not principal). Teaching experience MUST BE COMPLETED prior to the first day of the course.
