The Faculty of Education and Social Work is a leading provider of teacher and social work education in Australia, embedded within a rich and diverse research culture. Our Faculty has strong undergraduate and postgraduate teacher education programs, with keen interest in the production of nationally and internationally conscious graduates.


The Faculty’s foundation Education I-IV program offers core units of study across its undergraduate pre-service degrees. It links professional practice to broader theoretical and contextual understandings of educational activity drawn from fields in the social sciences related to education. The fields related to this position include Sociology and Comparative and International Education. Other areas of teaching in Education I-IV include Human Development, Early Childhood, Philosophy, Development Studies, Policy Studies, Economics and Anthropology.
