I work down in the forgotten swamp of the Staging Building doing mostly computer stuff for the Biology Core Courses.
I attended UWO as an undergrad and received an honours degree in Genetics in 1991. I then wandered off to the University of Guelph and got a M.Sc. specializing in BioTechnology.
Somehow I ended up back here doing prep and development work for second and third year Genetics courses. After a year my job began to evolve into the computer oriented role I now play. My current responsibilities include acting as Webmaster for the Department of Plant Sciences and the Biology Core Courses, I also act as a system administrator for the computer lab in the Staging Building.
When these duties do not keep me swamped I develop and integrate new software for instructional use by the Biology Core Courses.
On top of this I still try to spend 20% of my time supervising and contributing to the running of second and third year Genetics courses.
