Teachers' Wall of Fame Nominations

Do you know a teacher who belongs on the Teachers’ Wall of Fame? If so, it’s time to get your nomination in for the 2010 Teachers’ Wall of Fame.

The Faculty of Education and the London Public Library announce that nominations are now being accepted for the 2010 Teachers’ Wall of Fame. Students, former students and fellow educators are invited to nominate a teacher, either retired or nearing retirement, who best exemplifies what a great teacher really is – inspiring, enthusiastic, patient, imaginative, dedicated, optimistic, and a little bit magical. Teachers change lives. Students remember.

The Teachers’ Wall of Fame was initiated in 2005 to coincide with World Teachers’ Day on October 5.

The 2010 recipients will be chosen from nominations received by May 31, 2010 and from the group of teachers who were nominated during the 2009 competition. The induction will be held at the Faculty of Education on or near October 5.

To nominate someone, write an essay of no more than 750 words outlining the talents and gifts of the nominated teacher, explaining why that special teacher should join the other outstanding educators who have been inducted to the Teachers’ Wall of Fame.
