Research Day - Large Posters

If you are planning on submitting a large poster (32"X44"), please see these instructions on how to create a large poster using PowerPoint.
Decisions about whether or not the Faculty budget will cover the cost of printing your large poster will be made by February 19. If the Faculty is covering the cost of your poster and the poster PowerPoint is submitted by March 1 to edu-researchday@uwo.ca, we will make the arrangements to have it printed at Mercury Blueprinting. If you are paying for your own poster or miss the March 1 deadline, some of the available options are here.

Research Day Poster Templates - For Abstract Posters ONLY

If you are planning on submitting an abstract poster (18"X24") then the templates below may be of assistance in formatting the abstract for suitable display at Research Day.

Some of you may wish to exercise your creativity by making changes to the design, adding pictures, logos, charts, etc. If you do make changes we are asking that you do not change the size of the poster, and that the size of the font is not substantially decreased. You may choose from generic Faculty of Education Templates to more specific sub-discipline templates.

Instructions

Right click on the thumbnail image of the PowerPoint template below you would like to use and select "save target as". (In Firefox, click on the thumbnail image and choose "save file".)

Save to your local computer and open using Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 or newer.

Begin replacing the text with your own abstract information. Note the dimensions are 45cm x 60cm please do not change these dimensions. Any images that you include in your presentation should be a minimum of 300dpi. Lower resolution images will result in poor quality printing results.

When you are finished editing the PowerPoint please save a copy and name it as your name. If the total file size of your new poster is under 5Mb then email it as an attachment to edu-researchday@uwo.ca. If the file size is larger then phone Karen at 519-661-2111 x88561 and alternate arrangements will be made.
