I am interested in holistic approaches to individual, family and community wellness. Research I have been involved with has been done in partnership with non-government community-based organizations delivering health, social or educational services. In this research we emphasize the gifts and assets of individuals, families and communities facing significant challenges.

  2. Western's Office of Research Development & Services also maintains information on current Funding and Opportunities
  3. Western's Office of Research Development & Services has created an Awards and Distinctions Database indicating agencies, foundations and institutions to which researchers can apply directly, or through which they can be nominated, for monetary and non-monetary awards and distinctions. Sheet one of the Excel file gives directions for how this list of almost 1500 awards and/or distinctions can be queried. Use your Western user id and password to access this.
  4. Western has Internal Funding Opportunities and also provides links to External Funding Agencies.
  5. The Faculty of Education has Internal Funding Opportunities.
  6. MERX is a source for Canadian and provincial government tenders and contracts. The Research Office has a membership in MERX and can obtain full descriptions of the opportunities from the service as required.
  7. Western researchers can also search Pivot, a comprehensive database of grant funding opportunites.
