Graduate Student Awards
Administered by the UWO Centre for Inclusive Education
The goal of the Centre for Inclusive Education is to encourage collaborative investigations of theories and practices in an effort to enhance the educational opportunities of all students with exceptionalities. In order to encourage our graduate students to perform research in this area, we have established research awards for those completing a Master's thesis or Doctoral dissertation in the areas of special education and inclusive education.
Centre for Inclusive Education Research Award
Established with gifts from Alumni, this award is offered to graduate students enrolled in the Faculty of Education who will be completing a thesis on a topic related to the inclusive education of students with special needs. The award is granted through a competitive process that investigates both the merit of the project and of the student. Up to three awards of $750 each are granted annually. Eligible graduate students may apply for this award between November 15 and January 15 in each academic year; at that time, downloadable forms are available on the Centre's website.
