The Education and Law Journal was established in
1988 to provide a source of scholarly analysis of issues transecting
the fields of Education and Law. The Journal contains articles
and case comments and notes on a wide array of Education Law topics,
including system governance and funding, human rights of students
and teachers, liability of school authorities for negligence and
malpractice, as will as issues of particular relevance to post-secondary
institutions. Readers will also find reviews of recent books that
are relevant to educational and legal practitioners and academics.
Contributors to the Journal include legal and educational
academics and practitioners as well as law students and graduate
education students, hailing from Canada, the United Kingdom, the
United States, Australia, Ireland and South Africa.

Manuscript Requirements:

Manuscripts for articles
normally should not exceed 10,000 words, or 3000 words for case
comments. Text and footnotes should be type-written on one side
of the paper only, double-spaced with wide margins. All pages
should be numbered consecutively. Titles and headings should
be short. Footnotes should be numbered consecutively throughout
the text with superscript Arabic numbers. An abstract not exceeding
150 words should be provided. Cases and statutes should be cited
accurately and in correct legal format (see the Journal for
house style).

Manuscript Review:
|
All manuscripts are reviewed
by the Editor-in-Chief, who makes the final decision about publication.
Uninvited papers are normally referred to expert reviewers for
assessment. Authors will be notified by the Editor-in-Chief,
normally within 6 to 8 weeks, regarding whether their papers
have been accepted.
